The City Commission publicly reviewed the results of the feasibility study. All Commission members expressed support for the concept, but many questions were raised about potential funding mechanisms. The Commission recommended that the funding question go back to the Steering Committee for exploration of options and interaction with potential stakeholders to include KSU , MHS and private donors.
Out of 117 applicants, 15 members were selected who will advise the City Commission on the findings of the feasibility study.
The Aquatics Group partnered with Anderson Knight Architects, McCown Gordon Construction and Councilman-Hunsacker to make the proposal in front of the City Commission (see 1:06:20 of the Video)
